Culottes are absolutely elegant, they cinch at your waist and highlight your midsection. Pairing it with this knit sweater creates an oversized look with a focus on the waist to maintain the body's shape. The tight ankle strapping stilettos also contrast the oversized clothing and, they're just gorgeous.

Fashion Tales - PERSONAL STYLIST

Last summer, my family and I travelled to Japan for my parent's 30th anniversary. Above all the sightseeing and using chopsticks for breakfast, lunch and dinner, my eyes could not get enough of Japan's fashion sense. One trend I did notice was culotte pants, it felt like everyone wore it. They paired it with loose t-shirts or sweaters tucked in at the waist combined with sandals, Birkenstocks or sneakers. I loved it and had to get my own pair. They're so versatile and no matter what, the finished look is polished and neat because of pant material (Chiffon). Definitely one of my closet favourites.

Now for the bold burgundy sweater, I adore baggy sweaters like this one! It adds class to any ensemble; whether ripped jeans, a short leather skirt or on a fitted dress. Another closet favourite and unique yet adaptable sweater.
