| GYPSY PANTS from Nigeria | Black top from ZARA | RING FROM ALDO | LOAFERS FROM NINE WEST | CAT FROM MY PHOTOGRAPHER

When I was in Nigeria, I bought myself these gypsy pants with a bold print. Now everyone has an item in their closet that's really hard to pair things with, whether its a top, bottom or a jacket with a weird print. For me, it's these pants. They're bold, loose yet shapely and I have a really hard time pairing them with my closet. But alas, fashion is all about pushing yourself and being creative. So with these pants, and with other clothes that are different, I find solid and basic colours are always a safe pairing. Not only that but they allow the "weird item" to shine and be the focus of the outfit! Now the burgundy loafers were a brave move because they're another addition on their own - different colour and texture. Although it was a risky addition, it still worked because it was as bold and unique as the outfit.

During the shoot my photographer's cat couldn't help but join in the fun - off course it didn't hurt that I kept feeding her treats to keep her in the shot. Eventually I figured she blended in with my "jungle print" theme, so we added her to the shoot - ahaha.

Dressing is all about having fun and putting your stamp of originality on each outfit - so my advise is to find that difficult item in your closet and pair it with solid colours that compliment the item, and have fun with it.
